80° north.
Experience unique ski touring and the beauty of Svalbard on our Arctic Ski Cruise expedition. Unforgettable moments with magnificent scenery, arctic wildlife, great skiing and midnight sun.
During this expedition we will be cruising along the west coast of Svalbard between the latitudes 77–80 degrees north. Every day our professional IFMGA mountain guides will take you to explore new areas for epic ski touring. First descents, powder and spring snow, untouched lines ending to sand beaches. Whales feeding in the fjords and polar bear tracks crossing the remote arctic landscape.
Upon returning to the ship, après-ski is waiting with unbeatable views. The anchors are lifted up again and the dinner is served. The evening continues on the deck with wildlife watching in the midnight sun. Why not relax in the sauna.
Arctic Guides has been organizing more ski touring trips to Svalbard than any other professional tour operator. Thus our team and guides have a unique competence in guiding and oganizing ski expeditions in these amazing remote areas. All our guides are internationally certified IFMGA mountain guides with long, solid experience. All of our staff is also thoroughly trained in polar bear safety.
The expedition leader for this expedition is Anders Bergwall, IFMGA mountain guide and founder of Arctic Guides. During over 30 years Anders has specialized to guiding in Polar areas and led several expeditions in the Arctic.
The maximum group size for this expedition is 12 persons. We have three mountain guides guiding on this trip making us able to offer ski touring on different levels depending on the level of experience of our guests.
